Where architectural heritage meets contemporary design, Palm Springs Modernism Week stands as a celebration of timeless aesthetic principles that continue to inspire today's most forward-thinking spaces. This year, Kichler was proud to illuminate this prestigious design event, bringing our distinctive perspective to the desert landscape that has long been synonymous with pioneering modern design.
Modernism Week transforms Palm Springs into a dynamic hub where design professionals, enthusiasts, and visionaries converge to honor mid-century modern architecture's enduring legacy. The event perfectly aligns with Kichler's commitment to lighting that balances form and function, creating fixtures that not only illuminate spaces but elevate them.
"The clean lines and thoughtful minimalism that define mid-century modern design are principles that resonate deeply with our approach to lighting," notes Mollie Hambro, Trend & Design Specialist. "These spaces demand fixtures that complement rather than compete with architectural elements."
Our most significant presence was felt at the celebrated Sackley Chase property, where Kichler fixtures transformed bathrooms and living spaces. Carefully selected picture lights, chandeliers, and vanity lights enhanced the home's architectural integrity while providing the perfect illumination for contemporary living.
At the historic West House, our landscape lighting and outdoor fan solutions demonstrated how exterior lighting can extend the mid-century aesthetic beyond interior walls, creating seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor living – a hallmark of Palm Springs design.

Beyond the showcase homes, Kichler's presence extended to the heart of Modernism Week festivities. At base CAMP, the event's central hub open to all attendees, Ferguson Showrooms featured a curated display of Kichler fixtures Phix, Larousse, Cassius and Ophira that exemplify how modern lighting complements mid-century spaces.
Perhaps most dramatically, the opening night celebration was illuminated exclusively with Kichler's Arcus collection, setting the tone for a week dedicated to exceptional design. These fixtures created the perfect atmosphere for an event that celebrates the intersection of heritage and innovation.
