Fixtures with a two-tone finish are also growing in popularity and can help you coordinate with a variety of lighting looks inside your home. Consider the view. If there is a window above your front door, center your light fixture so it can be seen from the outside. Work your way down. Place matching wall sconces or table lamps on either side of a foyer mirror for extra light. One-story foyer musts. Many new homes feature one-story ceilings in the foyer.
