Taking home the top spot in the solid state lighting category, Kichler’s Design Pro under-cabinet and new LED disc system were recognized for their aesthetic appearance, superior color rendering, high energy efficiency and overall innovation.
The Lighting For Tomorrow competition, sponsored by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, the U.S. Department of Energy and the American Lighting Association, was created to encourage manufacturers to produce a range of new lighting fixtures that save consumers money by using less electricity, complement home décor and provide high-quality light. Winners are selected by a panel of industry experts following extensive Department of Energy testing.
Here at Kichler, developing energy-efficient residential lighting is an important part of our product development, and we are committed to providing our customers with the most innovative, functional, and decorative LED lighting products for their homes.
Kichler’s Design Pro LED under cabinet lighting
features an ultra-thin, half-inch profile and considerable energy savings with 40,000 hours (four
times longer than xenon or fluorescent), and in many cases more than 20 years of life. The under
cabinet lighting system also offers superior lighting effects,
delivering high brightness, true color LED (>90 color
rendering index – CRI)
.
The result is high-tech meets high-style:
a beautifully sleek unit that brings LED into the future -
and installs simply and intuitively.
In addition to earning this prestigious Lighting For
