New Kichler Families Respond to Popular Homeowner Requests, Latest
Design Trends
Innovative Linear Compositions, Crystal Accents and Fabric Shades at
Center of New Collections
CLEVELAND
—July 9, 2009—Seventy new Kichler lighting
fixtures take a cue from the most popular homeowner design preferences and the latest style trends.
Kichler’s newest families feature contemporary designs, innovative linear composition and
decorative fabric shades. Coupled with Kichler’s use of lustrous crystal, unique textures and
sweeping lines, these new fixtures add style to any room of the home.
“As we talk with homeowners, designers and
lighting professionals, we are receiving an overwhelming response to designs that incorporate
crystal accents, geometric shapes and fabric shades,” says Bob Doernberg, Kichler senior product
manager. “Our latest product release takes these design trends one step further by pairing them
with stunning, yet simple designs, distinctive materials and new finishes.”
The new Kichler® families
include:
Inspiring Linear Composition
-
Stella™- This soft-contemporary family features an
oval-shaped Chrome frame with dramatic, sweeping arms that draw the eye skyward. Elongated,
oval-shaped, etched-glass shades are situated vertically for added flair. Stand-out fixtures
include a
24-light five-tier
chandelier, as well as
two- and
three-tier chandeliers, a
wall sconce and a
mini
pendant.
-
Brinbourne™- The simple, yet striking linear structure of
this family delivers a bold statement in any room. Parallel, slightly curving double arms and a new
Anvil Iron finish perfectly compliment the family’s square, mouth-blown, satin-etched Opal glass
shades. Stand-out fixtures include a unique
10-light island light with
two rows of shades; a narrow,
12-light, three-tier foyer
chandelier; and a
linear chandelier. This
family also features coordinating bathroom lighting.
-
Point Pleasant™
- This masculine, transitional family builds in
striking lines and sophisticated detailing. Incorporating Kichler’s Olde Bronze® finish, the
fixtures come with both deep-hued, coco fabric shades and off-white fabric shades to allow the
homeowner a choice of looks. Each fixture also is defined by long-cast finials that sit beneath
each shade. This
family features a five-light linear chandelier, 10-light
double linear chandelier and a wall sconce.
Lustrous Crystal
Accents
-
Jardine™- Inspired by the delicate beauty of a diamond
ring, this family’s chandelier features a one-of-a-kind curved crystal that extends from its
polished chrome-plated arms. The crystals are molded from clear glass and transition from a small,
round shape to a larger, oval shape. Incorporating a shade-in-shade design, each fixture features a
glass inner shade and a metallic-frosted outer shade for a soft glow, and intricately designed
center columns use laser-cut elements to create added style and interest. This family includes
a
five,
six- and
eight-light chandelier, as
well as a unique
two-light wall sconce and a
drum-shaped
pendant.
Decorative Fabric
Shades
-
Camargo™- Cylindrical and elliptical shapes define this
clean, sophisticated family. Featuring light-beige, vertically pleated fabric shades and a
contrasting Olde® Bronze finish, each fixture incorporates a satin-etched glass diffuser that casts
a beautiful, warm light. Stand-out fixtures include a
linear oval chandelier, a
dramatic
27” foyer light, as well as a
pendant,
semi-flush and
wall
sconce.
-
Quinn™- This family features unexpected geometric
shapes and an Antique Pewter finish that creates a fresh, transitional look. A hard-back, white
linen shade incorporates circular glass diffusers that minimize shadows around the shade for soft
light diffusion. Stand-out fixtures include a
12-light chandelier and a
unique
three-light island light
outlined with metal framing.
-
Marchesa™- This traditional family features
Mediterranean-inspired silhouettes cast in Kichler’s newest Terene Bronze finish. Incorporating
beautiful Italian Piastra glass and golden caramel tone-on-tone fabric shades, each fixture
features an ornamental basket design with graceful, flowing arms, swirling textures and floral
accents. A dramatic
four-light foyer chandelier
incorporates four glass shades surrounded by a beautifully detailed iron cage. Other stand-out
fixtures include an
inverted pendant and an
inverted triangle-shaped
wall
sconce.
