Kichler Introduces Kichler Lighting Systems, Presents LED Cabinet Solutions
New brand extension offers energy-savings within line of cabinet, linear, task and mood lighting

CLEVELAND—Feb. 6, 2008—Kichler Lighting is proud to announce an extension of its brand, aimed to provide interior designers, builders, contractors, and ultimately, homeowners, a one-stop shop for their in-home task and mood lighting needs. Kichler Lighting Systems will offer the same quality and versatility synonymous with the company’s collection of cabinet, linear, task and mood lighting, coupled with new product innovation. The brand debuts with a new line of energy efficient, LED cabinet lighting, featuring the slimmest under cabinet profile in the industry.

“Our new identity is a natural evolution of our current light layering products and speaks to our commitment in this category,” said Jim Jones, Kichler product manager. “With this latest product expansion, Kichler will offer a more complete selection of systems-related products, which will provide professionals and homeowners with products they want and need, all backed with an ease of installation.”

Going Green with Design Pro Series
The new, Kichler Design Pro Series utilizes long-lasting, energy-efficient LED lighting within its modular cabinet lighting fixtures, providing 40,000 hours, and in many cases, more than 20 years life. The product’s LED light source offers safe, cool light in a warm white color rendering (at 3000 degrees Kelvin), which means no more blue hues.

Beyond its extended lifespan and energy savings features, the new Kichler Design Pro Series also offers the smallest profile in the industry at half an inch, enabling the most discriminating homeowner to work with any cabinet size or configuration. Plus, its interconnect wiring system allows for the fixtures to snap together and creates a seamless flow of light under multiple, separate cabinets. An optional night light accessory includes a 1-watt chip with an automatic start that can be installed to control an entire cabinet system or one designated area.

Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, Kichler Design Pro Series is offered in three different outputs, including a 4-watt / 6” length fixture; an 8-watt/ 12” length fixture; and a 12-watt/ 18” length fixture. Finishes include bronze, white and nickel.

In addition to the new Design Pro Series, Kichler Lighting Systems’ total product offerings feature the following solutions.

Bright Discs™ Puck Lighting: For both recessed and flush mount, these new fixtures are U.L. certified, providing a safe solution for concentrated task lighting. Offered in bronze, white, black, nickel, copper or polished brass.

Series I and III Cabinet Lighting: Allows for two types of installation, by way of independent direct-wire or through interconnect capability, and features 12-Volt Xenon or Fluorescent lighting.

Linear Accent Lighting: Streamlined fixtures that are slim and incorporate customizable and flexible installation, including a pre-scored linear track and snap-in lampholders that can be moved to different locations within the installation. Available in both 12 and 24-volt Xenon.

Series II and XE Cabinet Lighting: For direct wire or plug-in usage, the fixtures are available in 12-Volt Xenon lighting.
