Kichler Introduces Largest One-Time Product Release in Company History
More than 600 New Decorative Products Focus on Quality, Innovation and Design

CLEVELAND – Jan. 14, 2010 – While many are halting product development in the midst of this economic downturn, Kichler is responding with the largest new product release in the company’s history. More than 600 new lighting fixtures reflect Kichler’s long-standing commitment to quality, innovation and design, while responding to the latest industry trends.

“Our engineers and product development teams have dedicated the last year to reviewing every product we’ve ever produced,” said Bob Doernberg, Kichler senior product manager. “ This effort not only results in improved and expanded current collections, but new families and styles that will further set us apart in the industry.”

Kicher’s newest families incorporate trend-forward materials and designs, including the latest techniques in optical and textured glass; sleek contemporary and linear fixtures; and a fresh take on traditional lighting design.

The following families are part of the Kichler Lighting SourceBook, which will be available in both a printed version and an interactive, electronic file at www.Kichler.com in mid-late January.

Vertical and Linear Design

As dining room tables expand, and long, farmhouse kitchen tables gain in popularity, homeowners will continue to embrace linear chandeliers. The following families incorporate this trend:

  • Leeds™ -- Featuring a dramatic, double-arm linear oval chandelier and two offsetting, double-arm linear chandeliers, the Leeds family will make a statement in any home. Each fixture incorporates Cased Opal glass rectangular shades with rectangular metal accents along the bottom of each shade. Available in a Shadow Bronze finish, the collection also includes a Kichler Pendalette®, a pendant-sized chandelier that can be installed three ways, along with an eight-light and five-light chandelier, wall sconce, semi-flush and mini pendant.

  • Crescent View™ - The simple, clean lines of the contemporary Crescent View collection feature crescent-shaped Satin-etched Opal glass and a Brushed Nickel carriage frame. The stand-out 25-inch vertical foyer chandelier features four pieces of vertically hung glass that effortlessly rest in square arms to form a one-of-a-kind oval silhouette. Additional fixtures include a linear island light, mini pendant, semi-flush, and wall sconces, which can be hung vertically or horizontally depending on homeowner preference.

  • Ashbury Park – Inspired by a rustic lodge setting, the Ashbury Park family features Pine Bark Glass with eye-catching, geometric intersecting arms. Available in hand-applied Aged Bronze finish, stand-out fixtures include a two-tier, elongated eight-light and six-light linear chandelier, four-light chandelier, wall sconce, mini pendant and semi-flush. A bath family is available to compliment.

  • Manitoba – Expanding on this popular bath collection, the Manitoba family’s newest fixtures include a four-light and three-light linear chandelier, mini pendant and wall sconce. This stand-out collection features rectangular fused glass shades with an etched and textured Clear glass outer edge, and a Light Gray Beveled glass interior rectangle. A semi-circle design in front of each glass piece completes the look. Available in a Brushed Nickel finish.

Innovative and Textured Glass

The demand for simple, contemporary designs and new ways of incorporating glass shades have increased the use of optical crystal, textured materials and unique shade shapes. The following families incorporate these latest trends:

  • Veroia™ -- The stand-out feature of this oversized, traditional family is the warm glow from its round, double-glass shades, which feature a Clear Crackled glass outer shade and a Light Umber Etched inner glass shade. Supported by long, curving arms with a grey-brown hued Burnished Granite finish, the Veroia family is ideal for larger scale homes. The collection’s chandeliers are hung by a decorative chain suspension and include a 44-inch nine-light chandelier, five-light and six-light chandelier, Pendalette® and a single-light 25-inch foyer piece. Also included are a 22-inch wall sconce, mini pendant and semi-flush.
