CLEVELAND—Aug. 13, 2007—From timeless retro to crisp contemporary to
organically ornate, a variety of styles abounds in Kichler’s latest release, featuring more than
250 new lighting fixtures for every area of the home. The newest families build on Kichler’s vast
offerings and incorporate innovative finishes, unique accent materials and a range of fixture sizes
for rooms both large and small.
"What’s great about this offering is that we have so many unique families
designed to meet the needs of a variety of homeowners, whether their style is
contemporary, retro,
transitional or organic," said Tom Patterson, Kichler product manager. "Plus, to
help homeowners leave a dramatic decorative effect, we’ve built in details like brilliant lead-free
crystal, genuine marble and vining, along with dramatic glass treatments."
In addition to Kichler’s new "Pendalettes," small, pendant-sized,
three-light chandeliers with a variety of mounting options, highlights from Kichler’s June
decorative release include:
Organically Ornate
Callista
– Responding to the growth in metallics, this transitional family features a
combination of copper, gold and silver-forged steel leaves intertwined with amber-tinted inverted
fluid glass cones. A removable vine with a single leaf embraces each light. This family includes
several chandeliers, a
semi-flush, a
wall sconce and a
mini-pendant in a new
Morning Mist™ finish.
Heather
– This forged-iron group incorporates intricate vining, delicate leaf
accents and tulip-shaped glass that transform lighting fixtures into wonderful works of art.
Incorporating a Mission Copper finish with antique gold and copper highlights, this airy family
boasts a
decorative wall sconce with
a design that grows up the fixture body.
Old-World Glow
Glenmont – Reminiscent of the English school of design, this new family
incorporates umber-etched, marble pumpkin-shaped glass with a beaded rim treatment and a new
Berkshire Bronze finish. To showcase the collection’s extended framework, its shades sit higher on
the fixture body than traditional fixtures, elongating the family and building a dynamic effect in
larger spaces.
Monroe – A modern twist on American’s colonial period, this family features
ornamental wax drips on the sleeve of each removable faux cream-colored candlestick. For an updated
look, the collection’s flat metal based is finished in Oiled Rubbed Copper and flows out from the
bottom of the hanging pedestal. The family includes a wall sconce and several chandelier options to
fit a variety of room sizes.
Roxton – This elegant family brings an Olde World European appeal with
earth-tone, oval marble accents and a deep Antique Bronze finish with gold-rubbed highlights. Sold
without shades, the bulbs in this collection resemble pillar candles, but barrel-shaped shades are
sold as accessories in Gold Sage or Paisley. Highlights of this family include an ornate
foyer cage and a two-tier,
12-light chandelier. A new
leaf shape
Light
Accents™ piece is available to enhance the fixtures.
Contemporary Cool
Adriana – A thick, brilliant lead-free crystal is at the center of this
fashion-forward, geometric family that creates a burst of jewel-like reflections. Featuring a
six-sided, hand-cut center column in black or clear crystal, the hexagon shape is found throughout
with a six-sided bottom finial and matching arm accents. The shades in this family are sold as
accessories in three color options, including a delicate silver chiffon, a platinum string and a
six-sided black paper, all complemented with a Polished Pewter finish. Adriana fixtures include one
and two-tier chandeliers, a convertible
three light, and a
wall sconce.
Urban Ice – Introduced as a popular bath-only family earlier this year, this
sophisticated study features a series of free-flowing stems that hold square glass shades, which
are etched on the inside and highly polished on the outside to capture the look of genuine ice.
Sleek, clean lines create a dramatic contemporary look, which is offered in three finishes,
including Black Matte, Olde Bronze and Antique Pewter. This collection includes a
five,
six and
eight-light chandelier, an
inverted pendant, a
semi-flush and a
mini pendant.
Elliston – The grand hotel lobbies of the 1800s featured graceful tulip-shaped
art glass lights that created soft illumination. This new retro-fit collection recreates that
elegant and flattering effect with simple lines and a cream-colored feathered glass that casts a
subtle glow. The uneven bottom edges and the Oiled Bronze finish add authenticity to the complete
lighting family. Many pieces in this family can be installed with shades facing up or down
depending on homeowner preference.
Stanton Park – This tall and slender vintage grouping features umber-glass
fixtures, which rest in rounded suspended cups held in place by rectangular arms. A retro look is
achieved with a new Natural Brass finish with a black overtone. The family includes a
single,
double and
three-tiered chandelier, as
well as a variety of other fixtures for use throughout the home.
