Hours: 40 hours/week
Requirements:
Kichler Lighting a leader in interior and exterior decorative lighting, landscape lighting and ceiling fans.  Kichler products are available through authorized independent lighting showrooms, electrical distributors, procurement companies, irrigation distributors and select e-retailers.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsible for all details involved in product development, including managing the day-to-day project activity for assigned projects.
  • Handle all engineering related responsibilities, meet timeline requirements for the assigned releases or projects and provide timely status reports to the department manager.
  • Work with other personnel / departments as required to ensure a successful product launch or assigned project.
  • Manage product improvement and value engineering tasks
  • Review assigned projects against certification standards
  • Prepare products for certification testing
  • Responsible for updating China Staff and Vendors on all change orders and CAD revisions
  • Review and approve work of support personnel.
  • Manage multiple assignments concurrently

Specific work experience and job requirements for this position:

  • BSME (Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering) or 10 + years of field related experience required.
  • 3 years of work experience related to consumer product development is a plus.
  • Must have experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks 2010 or newer.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes: Die Casting, Injection Molding, Extrusion, Stampings, Fabrication, Assembly, etc.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows environment (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines / schedules.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to function in a collaborative environment.
