Kichler Series III Cabinet Lighting Offers Two Installation Options in One
New system allows for both direct-wire and interconnect capability, plus no transformers required

CLEVELAND—Aug. 13, 2007—No matter the job, whether a remodel, custom build, or upgrade, Kichler Lighting’s new Series III Cabinet Lighting system has a solution for every installation. With Series III, contractors will have the ability to install a homeowner’s cabinet lighting either by way of independent direct-wire or through interconnect capability, depending on the demand of the home’s wiring system. The benefits don’t stop there. Because the system is line voltage, transformers no longer are required, saving money and an extra step.

Kichler Cabinet Lighting combines the best features of its successful Interconnect Series I and Direct Wire Series II systems, already favored by contractors, into one versatile Series III system. With Series III components, contractors have the solution in their hands no matter if the job provides multiple sources of power – calling for independent direct wire connections – or one – requiring the cabinet lighting units be bridged together with an interconnect cable. In addition, Series III lets contractors choose between incorporating a wire module or master switch.

Homeowners and contractors, alike, will not only appreciate Series III because of its adaptable installation options, but also because its Xenon bulbs are now powered by 120 V, eliminating the need for a transformer. Xenon technology is preferred because it allows bulbs to run 40 percent cooler than halogen lighting, making them a safer choice. Now, advancements in lamp technology allow the bulbs to be powered at 120 V and make Series III a more economical and complete cabinet lighting solution, as well.

"We are proud to offer contractors and homeowners what they’ve been asking for all along – an all-in-one solution for their cabinet lighting jobs with the lowest profile in the industry," Kevin Jacobs said, Kichler Lighting Systems product manager. "With Series III, contractors can rest assured they will have the appropriate tools to complete each installation job smoothly and without interruption, and homeowners will enjoy the quality and performance expected from Kichler’s cabinet lighting."

Series III will be available in several measurements, including 7 ¼", 13 ¼", 22 ¼" and 30 ¼", and is available in white, bronze or stainless steel to best complement existing décor. Like Series I and II, the components will feature a sleek, 1" depth for low profile use.
