Olde-World Style Meets Today’s Trends in Latest Kichler Introduction
More Than 700 New Products Feature the Best of Eras Past and Present with Room for Customization in Between

CLEVELAND—July 27, 2006— The latest home trends merged with olde-world style and a bit of customization are what’s at the core of more than 700 new Kichler Lighting products. From unique finishes and colors to new, innovative styles, Kichler is bringing out the best of eras past and present with its latest introduction.

"When developing new products, our designers travel the world to study the latest in fashion and home decor," said Jeff Dross, Kichler product manager. "We incorporated many of the new and emerging trends into this release, including the growing popularity of oval chandeliers and the move toward lighter, middle-ground finishes. At the same time, we recognized that many still gravitate toward styles rich in history. We found the best of both worlds in this introduction."

To satisfy the growing desire for consumer customization, Kichler also introduces Light Accents—magnetic pendalogues, teardrops and related embellishments for chandeliers, lamps and accessories. Light Accents are available in 72 different styles to match collections both new and old and to take advantage of high-strength, MagTrim TM Technology under an exclusive licensing agreement Kichler has for the lighting industry throughout the world.

"Combining customization with a line of products that cuts across many genres allows consumers to create signature looks that match their individual style," added Dross. "The extensive selection in our latest offerings, coupled with the ability to easily personalize our fixtures, creates beauty, pleasure and timeless appeal for the home."

Yesterday’s Traditions, Today’s Twist

Ashton™: In this new collection, a transitional mission style is offered at a budget price. Suspended rods hold square arms that boast a Canyon Slate finish, which achieves a wood-grain feel. Dusty Citrine glass emits a refreshing glow. Coordinating bath fixtures also are available.

Laverton™: As copper continues to find a place in the home, this lighting family finds a way to complement with a blackened-copper look achieved with an olde auburn finish. Additionally, the collection is offered in an antique pewter finish. Both are accompanied by satin-etched glass shades and feature oval, tube-shaped arms with subtle detail to create a traditional style. For a personal touch, consumers can arrange the fixtures to hang with glass shades facing up or down.

Eminence™: In the early 20 th century, tycoons built their great estates in Long Island, Greenwich and other small New York towns. Lavish, stately and glamorous, these country homes reflected the city sophistication of their owners. Kichler’s decorative Eminence collection captures the grandeur and appeal of the great estates by incorporating antique gold accents, scrolling arms, umber glass shades and Kichler’s popular Brulée finish.

Cheswick™: Based on a traditional, European design, the new Cheswick family features a Parisian Bronze finish incorporating darker tones. Ornate, iron square arms and honey-etched glass create a graceful dramatic effect. This lighting family features a 48" grande chandelier for those homes following the trend of tall foyers.

Independence™: This modern-day version of colonial Williamsburg meets a simplistic Shaker feel in this collection that celebrates the birth of our nation. This family is finished in oiled bronze and has exposed candelabra lamps. In addition, it creates a complementary look by offering soft, mocha-captured silk shades to hide faux candles. Homeowners can create an eclectic lighting plan by placing the silk shades on some fixtures and leaving the candelabras exposed on others.

Olde-World Glow

Edenvale™: Built in the gold rush era, the town of Edenvale still embodies an easygoing spirit. Kichler recreates that era’s excitement with the introduction of this comprehensive, airy collection, featuring a new, hand-rubbed, rich finish called Golden Brulée. Highlighted by marbled glass globes and crystal accents, Edenvale puts a golden touch on traditional style. Matching sets of Kichler Light Accents are available in two sizes to customize this charming collection.

Plateau™: A century ago, families gathered every evening in the soft, warm glow of candlelight. Despite today's high-tech world, candles still remain a booming enterprise. Kichler's Plateau builds on the popularity of the candle by using simple trays to hold artistically shaped glass candles, which were designed to emulate dripping wax. The collection's two-light pendant can easily be converted into a two-light wall sconce depending on personal preference.

Sierra™: Expanding on the popularity of oval-shaped fixtures, this family brings together oval-shaped glass with bold, straight arms. A Franciscan Bronze finish complements the soft glow of sierra dusk glass, recreating the warmth of eras past. The unique wall sconce in this collection can be installed with the glass shade up or down and used indoors and out, thanks to a U.L. listing for damp locations.

Rochelle™: Eighteenth century European homes were renowned for their rich, rococo interiors and detailed designs, incorporating graceful shells, scrolls, branches and flowers. Kichler’s new Rochelle family updates that elegance with exquisite detailing, featuring a rich bronze finish with antique gold highlights and textured, amber-tinted crème caramel shades. Consumers also can purchase matching Kichler Light Accents with amber insets in two sizes to personalize the fixtures in this decorative family.

Simple Elegance with Vast Appeal

Colton Hall™: Colton Hall has been an integral part of California’s Monterey Peninsula since the 1840s, serving as a public meeting hall for 100 years. This collection captures the traditional mission style evocative of Monterey and enhances the architecture of this historic treasure with bold blacksmith-style strapping, opal glass globes and a dark bronze finish.

Hendrik™: Dutch architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage is considered to be a forerunner of modern architecture, creating designs known for their form, balance and silhouette. In the new Hendrik family, classic lines with a clean, contemporary flair reflect the same passion for sophisticated style and uncluttered design. Sweeping arms create soft, flowing lines in two modern finishes—oiled bronze with white umber cylinder glass and brushed nickel with white opal cylinder glass.
