Upscale Crystal Accents, Bold Angles and Contemporary Detailing Designed to Make a Statement

CLEVELAND—July 16, 2008— As part of its mid-year release, Kichler Lighting expands its contemporary offerings with original, innovative designs across several new contemporary families. Coupled with the high-quality materials and the design savvy for which Kichler is known, the latest collections also incorporate stunning decorative accents, inspired textures and unique angles that add a powerful dynamic to any room.

"More and more consumers are decorating with a contemporary influence, and our new offerings build on the growing popularity in this category by taking contemporary lighting to the next level," said Bob Doernberg, Kichler senior product manager. "Kichler designers and engineers spent months reviewing new materials, unique finishes and bold design angles, and the result is a stunning collection of unique fixtures that make a statement in any room, whether used individually or in combination."

The exciting new Kichler® families include:

Sparkling Soft Contemporary

Marcalina™ – This elegant, soft contemporary collection shines even with the lights out. Dozens of finely cut lead crystal droplets and hundreds of miniature, iridescent crystal beads embellish the fixtures of this heavily faceted family. Exposed candelabra lights sit atop scrolled arms on polished nickel frames in six-, eight- and 12-light chandeliers, as well as a unique two-light wall sconce.

Innovative Designs, Bold Angles

Capetto™ – This inspired family features kryptron lamps and clear crystal cylinders cradled in circular wire frames. In addition to a two-light wall sconce, this angular, contemporary chrome collection includes three-, eight- and 18-light cable-hung chandeliers.

Nana™ – This clean contemporary family features a cylindrical shape with bias-cut round glass tubes angled across perpendicular lines. Incorporating white, cased opal etched glass and a brushed nickel finish, the collection includes a simple one-light wall sconce and five chandeliers of varying sizes.

Cava™ – This masculine collection follows the popularity of ring-inspired lighting and includes heavy tusk-shaped glass and arms arranged around a thick, square center ring. An Olde Bronze® finish and white opal etched glass add to the appeal of this family, which features a two-light wall sconce and several chandeliers, including a 10-light abbreviated oval design.

Eye-Catching Textures, Lines

Sawyer™ – Incorporating white, cased opal etched glass, this soft contemporary family includes heavy cast arm backs and finial tails with wave-inspired arms and a brushed nickel finish. Stand-out fixtures in this collection include a dramatic hanging foyer light, measuring 36” tall, and a slender mini pendant. Chandeliers, a wall sconce and a flush mount also are available.

Ornate Traditional
In addition to its new contemporary collections, Kichler adds several new traditional lighting families, including:

Basham™ – This new collection features ornate cast-metal accents with a decorative cast drape, delicate cast bow accents and miniature cast metal pearls. These elements complement the family’s Parisian™ finish and antique paisley fabric shades. Three chandeliers and a two-light wall sconce are available as part of this collection.

Anniston™ – This upscale family features the popular Lincoln Bronze™ finish with gold leaf accents and hanging crystal trim. Ornate detailing is found throughout the center columns and scrolling arms, which split into two segments for an added decorative element. Optional hand-embroidered antique gold and crimson paisley fabric shades are available. Stand-out fixtures include five- and six-light chandeliers with decorative crowns, a two-arm wall sconce with a crystal-embellished center column and an inverted pendant.
