Lighting Solutions to Help You Stand Out Kichler Introduces a New Mix of Distinct Designs and its Largest Bath Release to Date
CLEVELAND—Feb. 21, 2007—Kichler Lighting gets it. When it comes
to living spaces, consumers want to achieve a look that reflects their personal style. To build
those signature looks, an eclectic collection of original lighting designs and innovative finishes
leads Kichler’s new product release. Plus, as the bathroom continues to evolve into spa-like
retreats, Kichler answers with its largest decorative bath release to date.
"Across the country, consumers are gripped with personalization
in every aspect of their lives. They want to stand apart from their neighbor with individualized
looks, whether it’s in the living room or the bathroom," said Tom Patterson, Kichler’s decorative
lighting product manager. "We’ve built our new product release around this trend, in every aspect,
from customizable designs to applied finishes to elegant glass treatments, creating unique looks
for the most discerning consumers."
Dynamic Designs
Italian Garden
– An "Italian garden" is brought to life in this new family, featuring
organic design elements, such as pressed glass flowers, which wrap around chandelier arms and
"grow" from the center. The center bouquet can be customized to the owner’s taste, using as many or
as few flowers as they wish. Influenced by the peaceful Renaissance gardens of Italy’s famed
Palazzo Fantini, the collection features a Rosario Gold finish with silver highlights and Dusty
Citrine glass.
Kimberley™
- Named after and reflecting the glory of historic "Diamond City," South
Africa, the timeless design with intricate detailing and Aged Pecan finish creates the look of
distressed wood for a matured appearance. Etched globes with antique umber enhance the pumpkin
coloring of the new finish and add refined elegance to the traditional family.
Wilton™ - Iron scrollwork conveys an appreciation for the finest in design and
craftsmanship, much like the time-honored Wilton carpets for which this family was named. The
Wilton carpets were reserved for only the wealthiest of homeowners of the 18
th century. In honor of their grandeur, a rich, Carré Bronze finish is complemented with
Antique Barley glass in a classic, tulip shape. The family's oval chandelier features a scrollwork
tray at its base that can be enhanced with ivy or dried flowers, and scrollwork outlines the
family's ceiling mount, leaving an elegant impression.
Domaine™ - French for "farm," a second customizable family brings French
Country to modern day with a touch of fleur de lis and quaint accents, including an optional
rooster figurine and clip-on shades with lace-cut details available in two sizes. The clean Olde
Mill Copper finish adds elegance to the casual family, which can dress the entire kitchen, and
features a grande 53" six-light chandelier for today’s large kitchens, perfect for positioning over
a dining room table or kitchen island.
Neillo™ - For centuries, this black alloy was used to accentuate jewelry
engravements. This look was reinterpreted with a Distressed Black finish applied on the curves and
sharp angles that make up this transitional lighting collection. Textured moonstone glass creates
an ambient glow, and wide fixtures help illuminate spacious rooms.
Circolo™ - Meaning "circle" in Italian, this tailored lighting collection
features clear, cylindrical glass suspended in a one-tier ring. A rich, Olde Bronze finish helps to
create the simply dramatic family, which adds a twist with uniquely shaped chandeliers, including
rectangular and oval options.
Wharton™ - The symmetry and balance of this classic yet contemporary family
follows the same design principles Edith Wharton introduced in her book, The Decoration of Houses,
in 1897. A new, Natural Brass finish, which will age over time, adds softness to graceful curves
and strong design elements. Pine Bark™ glass complements with multi-texture and an iridized
center.
Big Bath
The need for design in the bathroom has grown as luxury baths
reach peak sizes. To meet increased demand, Kichler introduces its largest
bath
release to date, offering more than 100 new items with
mirrors to
match every design. Clean lines for every décor feature finishes that complement today’s popular
plumbing and hardware finishes, including antique pewter, polished nickel, chrome and oiled
bronze.
For the first time, porcelain was applied to accent chrome, as
well as oiled bronze for a retro feel. In addition, six new designs were created for the popular
BeautyWraps™, top-mounted lighting fixtures that come with matching mini pendant lights on each
side.
Enduring Exteriors
Kichler is known for using quality materials that stand the test
of time, and its exterior lighting is no exception. Cast aluminum produces strong and durable
lighting fixtures for the outdoors and is used within each of Kichler’s new designs. From
traditional lantern designs with enhanced detailing, to
arts and crafts looks, to new eight-sided glass designs, Kichler has something
for every style, coupled with multiple finishes for the ultimate selection.
