Kichler Grows Outdoor Offerings with New Collections
Energy Efficient Fixtures, Replica Pieces and Art-Inspired Families Among New Additions

DALLAS—Jan. 17, 2008—As indoor décor continues to adapt to the latest trends, outdoor lighting takes a cue.   Featuring new fixtures in shapes and styles similar to their indoor counterparts, Kichler introduces 10 new outdoor lighting families as part of the company’s latest release. From energy efficient additions following the growing demand for green to elongated sconces in line with today’s taller walls, highlighted collections include:

Green Appeal
  • Lantana With more consumers seeking green solutions, Kichler introduces this clean, soft contemporary family with incandescent and energy efficient, or, fluorescent components. Simple lines are complemented with Light Umber glass with an Architectural Bronze finish or, for added dimension, Opal Etched glass with a Textured Granite finish. The family’s energy efficient options offer added savings for consumers who leave outdoor lighting on for extended periods.

Inspired Additions
  • Barrington – With a gothic-cathedral appeal, this collection is modeled after a century-old antique lantern. Designed with fabricated aluminum and Light Umber Etched Seedy glass, the fixtures include a Sage finish and a ruffled detailing. Stand-out pieces include a tall linear lantern and an outdoor pendant.

  • Fallon With an arts and craft inspiration, this family resembles free-form outdoor art and features a mission cage with a thick, cylindrical, hanging globe. Constructed of durable cast aluminum, the family is finished in Aged Bronze.
Traditional Tones
  • Standish Detailed ornamentation is carried throughout this outdoor family, incorporating an ornate crown topper, along with an intricate circular arm and cast back plate. Featuring Clear Seedy glass and a Legacy Bronze finish, highlighted pieces include a 44” outdoor sconce, perfect for elongated outdoor walls.

  • Willaston -- Rectangular-designed pieces are gaining in popularity indoors, and the shape finds its way outdoors in a new line of rectangular-cast lanterns. The traditional collection includes a detailed, window peek at the top of each lantern, which offers an extra sliver of delicate light, along with candle-shaped bulbs.   The family incorporates Clear Seedy glass and a Rubbed Bronze finish.

Contemporary Extensions
  • Urban Ice Introduced as a popular group last year, this sophisticated study features a series of free-flowing arms that hold square glass ice cube shades etched on the inside and highly polished on the outside to capture the look of genuine ice. Sleek, clean lines create a dramatic contemporary look in this family, which is finished in Matte Black.
