The industry leader expands its already extensive array of decorative lighting choices with thirteen new collections corresponding to a variety of today’s trends, including: Transparent – Crafting visual illusions using new design techniques, Kichler brings transparency to lighting with open, airy fixtures that consumers can look at, and now through. Architectural – Inspired by geometric shapes and clean lines, Kichler’s architectural collections bring a level of sophistication and style to any room that boasts strong features. Industrial – Drawing inspiration from everyday objects like the gears on a bicycle or the fins on a turbine, Kichler has applied bold urban industrial design to the latest in lighting. Mid-Century Modern – With Kichler’s new collections inspired by mid-century styling, consumers can now choose classic and even retro looks tweaked for today’s home. These trends are reflected in Kichler’s new 2012 families, which include: Transparent Everly ™ – This urban, rustic collection brings a modern twist to a classic look. The Edison bulb features a classic “squirrel-caged” filament surrounded by a glass shade that hangs gracefully from a Polished Chrome or Olde Bronze® downrod. Triad – Homeowners looking to make a statement need to look no farther than Kichler’s new Triad collection. Oversized clear glass cylinders surround White Vetro Mica glass shades and rest on a modernized rectangular platform finished in Classic Pewter. Providing ambient lighting through the glass cylinders and task lighting with downlights located beneath the platform, these linear chandeliers and pendants are as useful as they are striking. Both fixtures are available in over-scaled and smaller proportions to fit any sized space. Jules™ – Nothing shines quite like crystal on Polished Chrome. Taking this trendy design up a notch, Kichler drapes strands of large and small crystals from the fixture’s curved, Polished Chrome-finished arms like jewelry. Available in a wall sconce or three, five, eight, nine or eleven-light chandelier, Jules delivers sparkle and shine to the home. Architectural City Lights™ – Inspired by a city view at night, Kichler’s new City Lights™ collection features contemporary styling to light up the living area. Following the trend in asymmetrical design, the seven-light linear chandelier features a framework of clean intersecting lines, while rectangular and square satin-etched cased opal glass shades create a feeling of serenity. Stylish and functional, Kichler’s City Lights collection showcases the art of lighting design. Other fixtures in this family are a seven-light chandelier and two-light wall sconce, all featuring Kichler’s Classic Pewter finish. Imari – Kichler’s newest bath family features circular glass resting within a rectangular framework to appear as floating. This modern, soft look comes in a Polished Chrome finish in a two-, three- and four-light bath light. Loom – Kichler’s Loom collection creates an interesting three-dimensional reality with intertwined strips of metal creating depth around the outside of the shade. On the oval chandelier and pendant, the circular shade hangs from curved arms that branch out from a coordinating round detail at the top of the rod. Arvella™ – Simple, clean and concise. The Arvella collection has thin, tubular arms that hold shades of textured glass and come together at the middle with stepped cast detailing. In addition to the wall sconce, mini pendant, three, four and seven-light chandelier, this family also has a matching bath set. Industrial Ziva™ – The Ziva family exudes the industrial look that is becoming increasingly popular. Curving Polished Nickel fins surround a central light source, controlling the spread of light laterally with downward illumination while creating a most interesting interplay of chrome and light. This statement-maker is sure to turn heads. Neilo™ – Designing rooms with bold, beautiful style is easy with Kichler’s new Neilo collection. The Anvil Iron-finished arms of this family are accented with Brushed Nickel, giving it an added depth of contrast. The flat, rectangular arms wrap around the textured feather glass giving the fixtures additional design detail. Lytham™ – This pendant and semi-flush collection is perfect for the kitchen or wherever there is the need for a central light source. The round, shallow design features slightly over-scaled, flat circular knobs on the sides of each fixture that add character and substance. Mid-Century Modern Escala – Simple and subtle, yet striking in its design, Kichler’s Escala collection responds to increasing interest in mid-century modern style. The bold, curving accents that partially surround the spherical satin-etched glass shades will have homeowners dreaming of the moon and stars. The family consists of a two-light pendant and a one-light pendant with an optional three-arm canopy that allows for the creation of a dramatic three-light foyer fixture with a cascade of descending lights. This retro design is complete with a Polished Nickel finish. Lucien™ – The mid- to early-century feel of this collection will inspire homeowners to look for spaces to take chances. The Polished Chrome version features trumpet-shaped arms that play off a minimalist design style of the late fifties and early sixties, while the Olde Bronze® version goes back earlier in time with vintage “squirrel-caged” filament bulbs included. The vertical design of these pendants makes them ideal for foyers, entryways and spaces with taller ceilings. Whitley™ – Consumers looking for an abundance of down light are in luck. Kichler’s Whitley collection features an exceedingly simple, yet rustic fixture that is beautiful in mid-century, loft and contemporary style rooms. The longer satin-etched cased opal glass shades keep the bulbs hidden from direct view. Included in this collection is a wall sconce, mini pendant and three- and five-light chandelier.
